It’s sled dog season! This summer we had an incredible time getting ready for the cold months. We now have 20 (20!!) dogs. That may seem like a lot of dogs, and you’re right, it is- but we are succession planning for the future. Our older dogs are now collecting their 501k’s and are loving retirement. Their health care, toys, housing, and fun is all taken care of and they can relax the remainder of their lives without “work”. We also were very blessed with 8 beautiful Alaskan Huskies at our kennel to help take over for the retired dogs. And, if that wasn’t enough, we acquired two Alaskan Huskies from NH that are each a year old. Our kennel in beautiful Sharon Springs is bountiful and in full spirits! Today, I decorated their kennels for Christmas and hung their stockings with care.

New also this winter, we are trying our guests hands at driving their own sleds on our 100 acre property and trails. We will give our guests a 2,3, or 4 dog team to sled with. We are nestled between Cooperstown, Cobleskill, Oneonta and an hour west of Albany.

Then, after sled rides, we welcome our guests to cuddle with each of our dogs – telling them how amazing they all are!
